Cyber Security Infrastructure Specialist (Senior & Mid-level)

About the role

Based in Mons, Belgium, you will join the NATO Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) to protect and defend NATO Communications and Information Systems. Two positions are open – one senior and one mid‑level – focusing on the design, implementation and maintenance of secure cyber infrastructure supporting mission‑critical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain secure cyber security infrastructure for NATO’s critical systems.
• Identify security vulnerabilities and develop practical mitigation strategies and secure configurations.
• Monitor, assess and analyse security systems to detect, investigate and respond to attacks and breaches.
• Provide technical advice ensuring compliance with organisational policies, standards and risk assessments.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into technical solutions, system diagrams and procurement documentation.
• Contribute to risk assessments, risk treatment plans, accreditation activities and maintain related records.
• Support solution architecture in cryptography and collaborate with transformation and service‑transition teams.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic cyber security professional with senior or mid‑level experience.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a round‑the‑clock operational environment.
• Excellent communication skills to advise stakeholders and produce technical documentation.
