Corporate Counsel, Regulatory

About the role

As a Corporate Counsel, Regulatory you will provide day‑to‑day legal advice on product compliance and regulatory matters across Stanley Black & Decker’s global portfolio, with a focus on European regulations. You will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams and the wider Legal Department to ensure that products are developed, marketed and distributed in line with applicable laws.

Key responsibilities

• Advise business units on European product regulations, directives and compliance obligations.
• Conduct legal research on relevant regulatory frameworks and legislative developments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support compliant product design, commercialization and distribution.
• Monitor and interpret legislative changes, providing timely updates to senior leaders.
• Manage regulatory inquiries, issues and disputes, including potential claims.

Required profile

• LL.B. or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience practicing regulatory law in a large law firm or corporate legal department.
• Proven ability to guide stakeholders on European product regulations.
• Strong independence and collaborative teamwork skills.
• High standards of professionalism, integrity and collegiality.
