Corporate Counsel

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Corporate Counsel to join argenx’s Corporate Legal Team. The role will act as a strategic advisor on corporate and governance matters, securities law compliance, equity plans and ESG initiatives, reporting to the Head of Corporate Governance & Deputy Corporate Secretary.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage Dutch, Belgian and U.S. securities law obligations, including reporting requirements.
• Develop and advise on compliance with the EU Market Abuse Regulation.
• Provide guidance on employee equity incentive plans.
• Support corporate governance matters and implement best‑in‑class legal policies.
• Coordinate global group structuring, corporate housekeeping and compliance for local entities with external advisors.
• Assist in preparation of annual reporting materials and general meeting documentation.
• Coordinate compliance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and support the long‑term ESG strategy.
• Stay current with legal and regulatory developments relevant to listed companies.

Required profile

• Law degree and a licence to practice law in the Netherlands (preferred) or Belgium.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Expert knowledge of Dutch or Belgian and EU laws and regulations applicable to listed companies.
