Corporate Associate

About the role

Freshfields' Brussels office is seeking a Corporate Associate to join its Global Transactions practice. You will work on challenging, cross‑border corporate and finance matters for private and public companies, banks, governments and other clients. The role offers a truly international environment with collaboration across the firm’s worldwide network.

Key responsibilities

• Advising clients on a wide range of corporate and finance law matters.
• Drafting and negotiating corporate, M&A, equity and debt capital markets documentation.
• Managing transactions and conducting legal due diligence.
• Maintaining client relationships and supporting business development activities.
• Training and supervising junior team members.

Required profile

• Ambitious, highly motivated lawyer with strong technical and commercial abilities.
• Belgian law degree with first‑class academic record; a postgraduate degree is an asset.
• Creative, curious, rigorous and excellent communication skills.
• Proactive attitude and commitment to delivering excellent client service.
• Fluency in English, Dutch and French.
