Contract Law Associate

About the role

The Contract Law Associate will act as a key legal business partner for DIGI Belgium, supporting the deployment of mobile and fiber network infrastructure. The role combines practical legal advice with business‑oriented solutions across contracts, real‑estate, and corporate matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and manage commercial and operational agreements related to network rollout, site acquisition, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Provide legal support for telecommunications infrastructure projects, including permits, planning authorisations and administrative procedures.
• Advise on corporate and commercial matters affecting the company’s operations.
• Manage site acquisition activities such as commercial leases, easements, access rights and rights of way.
• Support procurement teams in negotiating supplier, vendor and subcontractor contracts.
• Identify, assess and mitigate contractual, operational and legal risks.
• Oversee disputes, claims and litigation in cooperation with external counsel.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, internal procedures and legal guidelines.

Required profile

• Belgian Master’s degree in Law and qualification to practice law in Belgium.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in a reputable law firm or in‑house legal department.
• Strong experience in contract law, negotiations and drafting complex B2B agreements.
• Experience in telecommunications law, real‑estate/property law, infrastructure projects, litigation or corporate law is desirable.

Required skills

• Proven ability to draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts.
• Solid understanding of commercial leases, easements, rights of way and site acquisition processes.
• Capability to provide pragmatic, business‑focused legal advice.
