Community Liaison Officer

About the role

The Community Liaison Officer (CLO) serves as the primary bridge between the project team and local communities, ensuring transparent communication and active stakeholder participation. The role supports the delivery of environmental and social commitments by managing feedback channels and fostering positive relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for communities and external stakeholders, communicating project activities, progress, and potential impacts.
• Implement and support the Stakeholder Engagement Plan, gathering and documenting feedback for integration into project processes.
• Organise and facilitate community meetings, prepare agendas, invitations and minutes, and support community committees.
• Promote awareness of project activities and feedback mechanisms, ensuring inclusive access for vulnerable groups.
• Receive, record and track community feedback, questions and complaints, coordinating timely resolution with internal teams.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and prepare regular reports on feedback trends and engagement activities.

Required profile

• Fluency in Dutch and English (essential).
• Proven experience in community engagement, stakeholder relations or a similar role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with discretion handling sensitive topics.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and comfortable working with diverse stakeholder groups.
