Senior Policy Advisor – EU Industry Transition

About the role

E3G is seeking a Senior Policy Advisor to shape its strategy on industrial decarbonisation and EU industrial policy. The role will work closely with the Programme Lead and cross‑functional teams to influence European climate and energy decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development of E3G’s strategy and thought leadership on EU industrial decarbonisation.
• Draft policy propositions and translate analysis into practical recommendations for EU policymakers.
• Monitor European and international policy, political and economic developments and assess their impact on E3G’s work.
• Build E3G’s profile and strengthen relationships with key EU decision‑makers, industry, civil society and investors.
• Represent E3G in meetings, workshops, conferences and other policy forums.

Required profile

• Several years of progressive professional experience delivering high‑quality policy impact.
• Degree, professional qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Strong background in industrial decarbonisation or industrial policy and solid understanding of European climate and energy policy.
• Established networks in at least one relevant industrial sector (e.g., steel, cement, chemicals).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
