Communications Manager – Global Sustainability Initiative

About the role

Join a leading global initiative focused on improving supply‑chain sustainability in the chemical industry. As Communications Manager you will steer both internal and external communication across all regions, ensuring the initiative’s visibility and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and continuously improve the global communication strategy.
• Plan, budget and execute annual global and regional communication activities.
• Create and curate content for members, service providers and public audiences.
• Manage communication channels including the website, LinkedIn, press releases, videos and annual reports.
• Collaborate with global members and regional teams in Asia and the Americas to support local communication efforts and events.
• Maintain visual identity, brand guidelines and up‑to‑date communication materials.
• Develop key messages and priorities aligned with the initiative’s evolving scope.
• Oversee external service providers, manage relationships, budgets and project delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Communications Manager.
• Experience in sustainability, procurement or the chemical industry is a plus.
• Proven project‑management abilities and experience designing communication strategies.
• Strong writing and editing skills, capable of translating complex topics such as supplier audits or GHG emissions into engaging content.
• Experience working with global, member‑driven organisations.
• Master’s degree or higher in public affairs, communications or a related field.
• Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese) are advantageous.

• Proficient use of MS Office.
