Communications Manager – EU Medical Technology

About the role

MedTech Europe is seeking a Communications Manager to lead media engagement and shape strategic narratives around healthcare and technology for EU institutions and stakeholders. You will work within a motivated communications team, collaborating closely with policy and technical experts to advance the sector’s advocacy goals.

Key responsibilities

• Own media relations and monitoring, delivering analysis and impact measurement such as share of voice and sentiment.
• Design and implement communication strategies for EU policy and advocacy, translating complex scientific content into clear statements, visuals and social media assets.
• Lead content creation for flagship events (MedTech Forum, CEO Summit, HETHICO, Value Based Procurement Conference) across newsletters, social channels and digital campaigns.
• Plan and execute content calendars that turn policy topics into engaging digital formats.
• Coordinate with thematic departments to align communications output with business and advocacy objectives.
• Support crisis readiness and rapid‑response communications on legislative developments.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of communications experience, including EU policy communications.
• Degree in communications, journalism, political science, European studies, health policy or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of the EU policymaking environment and media landscape.
• Excellent writing, editing and proof‑reading skills.
