Communication & Events Officer

About the role

The Belgian Nuclear Forum is seeking a Communication & Events Officer to join its small, dynamic team. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or early‑career professional who wants to combine content creation, digital communication, member engagement, and event coordination within the nuclear energy sector.

Key responsibilities

• Write and edit articles for the website, newsletters and corporate publications.
• Monitor and analyse media coverage related to the nuclear sector in Belgium and abroad.
• Create, plan and publish content for social media channels.
• Support the editorial and digital communication strategy.
• Design visual materials for social media, events and presentations.
• Produce and send email campaigns, newsletters and member updates.
• Maintain accurate contact and CRM databases.
• Assist in developing new communication formats, including video and other digital content.
• Support the organisation of workshops, working groups and member meetings, handling invitations, logistics and follow‑up.
• Draft meeting minutes, summaries and follow‑up documents, and communicate outcomes internally and externally.
• Coordinate on‑site event preparation, execution and post‑event activities.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or professional at the start of their career.
• Curious, proactive and well‑organized.
• Excellent writing skills in Dutch or French, with a good working knowledge of the other language.
