Chief Technician – NATO Secret Clearance (Mons, Belgium)

About the role

We are seeking a Chief Technician to join the JISR Services Support Centre (JSSC) for a NATO/European Union client. The role is based in Mons, Belgium and requires NATO Secret clearance and relocation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 and Service Management support via NCIA ITSM and Azure DevOps NATO Software Factory ticketing systems.
• Document, categorize, and resolve incidents, service requests, change requests, tasks and information requests.
• Perform on‑site support at NATO locations and, when required, limited remote work respecting security classifications.
• Participate in daily reporting, planning meetings, workshops, events and conferences as directed by the Service Delivery Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of system engineering experience in multinational or military organisations.
• Proven Level 2 support experience with Windows Server/Client, Active Directory, IIS, Linux, virtualization and containerisation.
• Experience with automation and modern platform technologies (Ansible, REST/JSON, PostgreSQL/SQL, micro‑services, Podman/Docker, Apache Kafka).
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server installation, configuration, maintenance and backup policies.
• Mandatory NATO Secret security clearance and willingness to relocate to Belgium.
