About the role

The Joint Support System Centre (JSSC) in Mons seeks a senior Chief Technician to lead system engineering and Level‑2 support for NATO‑classified environments. The role requires NATO Secret clearance and combines hands‑on server administration, automation, and cloud integration across Windows and Linux platforms.

Key responsibilities

Design, deploy and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS and Linux infrastructures.
Implement virtualization and container solutions (VMware, Docker, Podman) and manage storage/Raid configurations.
Automate operations using Ansible, PowerShell, Bash and Python scripts.
Administer databases (PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server) and develop SQL scripts for data consistency.
Configure and monitor networking services (DNS, DHCP, WSUS, GPO, load balancing, PKI, ADFS).
Integrate cloud services (Azure DevOps, AWS) and support micro‑services architectures.
Set up monitoring and logging pipelines with Prometheus, Grafana, Logstash and Elastic Search.
Provide remote and onsite Level‑2 support, troubleshoot complex incidents and produce technical documentation.

Required profile

Minimum 5 years of system engineering experience in multinational or military settings.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
Familiarity with NATO structures, responsibilities and security procedures.
