Chief Information Security Officer (Customer‑Facing)

About the role

We are seeking a Customer‑facing Chief Information Security Officer to act as the strategic conscience and trusted advisor for our clients. Based in Brussels, you will work on‑site twice a week, providing high‑level security guidance and shaping governance, risk and compliance programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement security strategies aligned with client business objectives.
• Lead GRC initiatives, ensuring compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS and relevant legislation.
• Advise on GDPR, NIS2 and other regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with IT and OT teams to secure ICT architectures, including OT/ICS and IoT environments.
• Act as the primary point of contact for security incidents and risk assessments.

Required profile

• Academic background with strong analytical thinking.
• Extensive experience in governance, risk and compliance for information security.
• Proven ability to communicate in Dutch, French and English.
• Deep understanding of IT Service Management (ITIL) and modern security frameworks.
