Category Director – Fruit

About the role

The Category Director – Fruit leads the strategic, operational and financial performance of the fruit category, aligning it with the company’s overall strategy. You will drive sustainable growth, profitability and innovation while ensuring high customer satisfaction and efficient supply‑chain operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the strategic and commercial plan for the fruit category in line with corporate objectives.
• Design and implement strategic sourcing and partnership plans for raw fruit materials and packaging capabilities.
• Monitor global and regional market trends, consumer behavior and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
• Oversee end‑to‑end operations including sourcing, supply chain, co‑packing, quality control, logistics and distribution.
• Ensure compliance with food‑safety standards, sustainability goals and operational excellence.
• Manage the category budget, P&L and financial targets, driving cost optimisation and margin improvement.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team across sourcing, production, sales, marketing and supply chain, fostering a culture of performance and innovation.
• Maintain strong relationships with growers, suppliers, internal departments and external partners, representing the fruit category in executive forums.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Commercial Management, Agribusiness, Food Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of senior leadership experience in the food or agribusiness sector.
• Proven track record in strategic planning, financial management and team leadership.
