Category Director – Fruit

About the role

The Category Director Fruit will lead the strategic, operational and financial performance of the fruit category for a family‑owned food company. You will shape the category’s growth, profitability and innovation while ensuring alignment with the overall corporate strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the strategic and commercial plan for the fruit category.
• Design and manage strategic sourcing, partnership development and packing capabilities.
• Monitor global and regional market trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Oversee end‑to‑end operations including sourcing, supply chain, co‑packing, quality control, logistics and distribution.
• Manage the category budget, P&L and drive cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team across sourcing, production, sales, marketing and supply chain.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction across retail, foodservice and industrial channels.
• Represent the fruit category in executive meetings and strategic forums.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Commercial Management, Agribusiness, Food Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of senior leadership experience in the food or agribusiness sector.
• Proven track record in strategic planning, financial management and team leadership.
