About the role

AFME is seeking a Graduate to join its Research team in Brussels for a 12‑month paid programme starting September 2024. The role supports the production of AFME’s capital‑markets research publications and contributes to policy‑relevant analysis across European markets.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and eventual ownership of AFME’s quarterly research publications.
  • Help automate report generation and data‑aggregation workflows.
  • Improve data quality by closing gaps in European capital‑markets datasets.
  • Contribute to the flagship Capital Markets Union KPI report in collaboration with staff and partner associations.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis for Capital Markets projects, including data cleaning, modelling, and survey analysis.
  • Respond to data and analytical requests from AFME members, employees and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners to maximise the use of existing research material and enhance media coverage.

Required profile

  • Degree in a quantitative discipline with strong modelling, spreadsheet or database components.
  • Excellent analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a fast‑paced team.
  • Strong written communication skills and intellectual curiosity.
