Business Development Manager – Software & Platform Engineering

About the role

Devoteam, a digital transformation consulting firm with strong partnerships such as AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft and ServiceNow, is looking for a high-energy Business Development Manager in Machelen. This is a purely growth-oriented commercial role: you will identify, pursue and close new business opportunities in Belgium, positioning Devoteam's expertise in Software & Platform Engineering for organizations undergoing large-scale digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Position Devoteam as the trusted partner for Red Hat-based cloud-native platforms and modern application delivery, focusing on platform engineering and automation rather than infrastructure components.
• Pitch the transformation of legacy environments into high-performance digital products using cloud-native and AI-native software engineering, targeting CIOs, CTOs, Heads of Product and Heads of Engineering.
• Promote standardized, developer-friendly platforms built on Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform for hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, initial outreach, high-level negotiation and closing.
• Map the Belgian market, identify key decision-makers and ensure Devoteam is at the top of their mind for major RFPs.
• Lead complex bids, mobilizing technical architects to build winning proposals.
• Take personal ownership of the sales pipeline and drive consistent acquisition of new logos.

Required profile

• Proven track record of generating new business in the IT services sector.
• Self-starter who enjoys long-cycle B2B sales and complex organizations.
• Master of consultative selling, able to challenge a client's vision.
• Fluency in French, Dutch and English is mandatory.
