Business Development Manager – Gourmet

About the role

Cargill is seeking a Business Development Manager for its Gourmet portfolio to expand the reach of innovative food ingredients and branded products. You will prospect new accounts, understand customer needs, and guide them from initial contact through trials to closed sales.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and continuously refine lead‑generation plans to uncover new sales opportunities.
• Execute strategies to grow the client base within defined market segments.
• Report on prospecting activities and conversion results.
• Collaborate with the GTM sales organization to convert prospects into customers.
• Engage directly with moderately complex accounts, conduct needs analysis, and propose tailored solutions.
• Resolve moderately complex issues independently, escalating more complex matters as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer‑centric solutions.
• Comfortable interacting with diverse groups and establishing informal and formal networks.
