Business Developer – AgriFoodTech (Europe)

About the role

We are looking for a Business Developer to drive growth in the AgriFoodTech sector across Europe. Based in Marche‑en‑Famenne, Belgium, you will work within the CER Group, a research centre and innovation partner in life sciences, to expand our client portfolio and shape market offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities in Europe within AgriFoodTech, FoodTech and biotech markets.
• Build and maintain a structured pipeline of prospects and convert them into long‑term contracts.
• Retain and grow existing accounts while establishing strategic partnerships with industry, academia and clusters.
• Contribute to the definition of the CER Group’s AgriFoodTech value proposition and monitor market trends such as biosolutions, probiotics, enzymes and functional ingredients.
• Translate complex customer requirements into concrete projects in collaboration with scientific and technical teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline.
• Significant experience in business development within life sciences or AgriFoodTech.
• Strong prospecting abilities and a results‑oriented, entrepreneurial mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in French, English and Dutch.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and bridge scientific and commercial perspectives.
