Backend Engineer

About the role

Lighthouse is looking for a Backend Engineer to design and deliver high‑performance APIs that turn massive hotel data sets into actionable insights for more than 100,000 hotels worldwide. You will join a fast‑growing AI‑driven company that empowers hospitality teams to make data‑backed commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain Python and Go microservices that power core analytics platforms.
• Deploy, monitor, and scale services using reproducible infrastructure pipelines.
• Process terabytes of data in real time within API endpoints and batch jobs.
• Own the codebase and infrastructure, continuously improving performance and reliability.
• Write extensive automated tests to ensure high‑quality releases.
• Collaborate with product, DevOps, and other engineering teams in Scrum squads.

Required profile

• Strong passion for clean, readable, and scalable code.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex systems.
• Enjoys collaborating in a cross‑functional, agile environment.
