Back-End Java Developer – Financial Institution (Belgium)

About the role

Nexeo is seeking a Back-End Java Developer to support a leading financial institution in Belgium. You will act as a consultant, providing technical expertise and daily support to both the development team and the client’s partners worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse issues reported by the customer or its partners and propose corrective actions.
• Provide daily support for the development team during coding and testing phases.
• Assist with terminal configuration and settings across global locations.
• Investigate dysfunction reasons, recommend fixes, and collaborate with R&D.
• Guide customers or partners in implementing corrections and validate solutions against expectations.
• Coordinate with R&D to prioritise issues, align product offerings, and ensure proper documentation.
• Work with project management to define project priorities and gather requirements for new features, change requests, and bug fixes.
• Lead technical meetings between the customer and R&D when needed.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in software development.
• Fluent in both French and English.
• Experience with software migration, system integration and ticketing systems.
• Ability to understand code flow in C and Android technologies and basic software architecture.
• Capable of developing sample code and performing log analysis and troubleshooting.
