Associate Regulatory Counsel – Competition

About the role

Google is seeking an Associate Regulatory Counsel to join its Global Competition team. You will work on cutting‑edge antitrust and competition matters that shape the digital economy, advising internal stakeholders and engaging with regulators worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret competition and antitrust laws, translating them into actionable requirements for product, engineering, and business teams.
• Provide legal advice on compliance programs, risk mitigation, and regulatory investigations.
• Engage with European Commission, UK Competition and Markets Authority, and other global competition authorities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and maintain compliance frameworks.
• Support external communication of Google’s compliance posture.

Required profile

• JD, LL.B., or equivalent degree with at least 3 years of legal, regulatory, or corporate compliance experience.
• Experience in competition/antitrust practice, including digital markets regulation.
• Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction or authorized in‑house status.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
