Associate Financial Analyst

About the role

The Associate Financial Analyst will join the Controller’s group within MasterCard Europe’s Finance division. Reporting to the Manager, Controller, the role ensures accurate accounting treatment and controls for customer business agreements in line with MasterCard policies and US GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Support statutory audit processes for assigned entities.
• Assist with monthly closing, US GAAP trial balance reviews, and SOX control execution.
• Participate in contract drafting to guarantee proper accounting treatment.
• Liaise with Billing Services and business owners on pricing implementation, including requirement reviews and test approvals.
• Set up automatic rebates and customer‑specific rates in the billing system.
• Create and update rebate calculation models.

Required profile

• University degree in economics, business, finance or a related field, preferably with an accounting concentration.
• Eligible for the Rosetta position (under 26 years old).
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Access and database management.
• Knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles.
• Familiarity with SOX control requirements.
