About the role

The Parliament Magazine is seeking a Brussels‑based Assistant Editor to help shape the future of its journalism across digital, print and live events. This creative editorial position blends storytelling innovation, magazine production, and event collaboration to amplify the impact of EU‑focused reporting.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and experiment with new storytelling formats for digital, social and print channels.
  • Write, edit and sharpen copy for articles, newsletters, social media and other editorial outputs.
  • Copyedit, proofread and support the production of the monthly print magazine.
  • Collaborate with the events team to integrate editorial content into conferences, debates and live discussions.

Required profile

  • Experience in journalism, preferably covering EU affairs or European politics.
  • Strong writing and editing abilities with a focus on clear, engaging storytelling.
  • Keen eye for detail, accuracy and consistency.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑moving newsroom.
  • Exceptional command of written and spoken English.
