Area Sales Manager – German, Austrian & Swiss Markets

About the role
Galactic is seeking an ambitious Area Sales Manager to drive growth across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. You will be responsible for developing the market, managing distributor relationships and securing new business opportunities while travelling extensively within the region.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and support distributor activities throughout the assigned territory.
- Prospect, negotiate and sell directly to key end‑users and mixers.
- Balance direct sales and distributor channels, securing strong agreements.
- Negotiate partnership agreements in coordination with senior management.
- Coordinate technical support follow‑up with internal teams.
- Maintain CRM reporting and produce monthly sales statistics.
- Recruit and select new distributors and agents via field visits and trade shows.
- Drive proactive market development, customer visits and industry event participation.
- Negotiate pricing structures, contracts and budgets; manage credit committees.
- Oversee distributor networks, including training, seminars and performance‑based activities.
- Control sales revenue and budgets to optimise commercial contribution.
- Provide continuous market feedback to support marketing tools and growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate order management.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a commercial role, preferably in food, ingredients or related sectors.
- Results‑oriented “hunter” mindset with strong drive to develop new markets.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and German.
- Strong commercial skills in prospecting, negotiation, quoting and pricing.
