Application Security Engineer – Medior

About the role

Everience is seeking a Medior Application Security Engineer to join its dedicated Application Security & Vulnerability Management team. You will work in a fast‑evolving environment of distributed Java and mobile application development, helping development teams embed security throughout the software lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage developer requests for application security tools and provide guidance on secure coding.
• Perform static application security testing (SAST) code reviews and analyze third‑party libraries with software composition analysis (SCA) tools.
• Support teams in adopting SecDevOps practices and deliver training on common vulnerabilities.
• Maintain the infrastructure for automated code analysis and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Monitor, track and report on application vulnerabilities, and keep secure development guidelines up to date.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert, advising developers on risk mitigation and incident resolution.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience developing Java or mobile applications.
• Strong interest in application security with a goal to become an expert within 3‑5 years.
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle in an Agile/DevOps environment.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of current programming languages, tools and platforms.
