Application Developer – Legacy Systems

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Application Developer to maintain and evolve a portfolio of legacy applications built with PowerBuilder, ASP.NET and SQL. The role focuses on ensuring stability, security and continuous improvement while supporting the gradual modernization of these systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform corrective and evolutionary maintenance on legacy applications.
• Resolve production incidents and provide timely support.
• Develop small enhancements and functional adaptations in collaboration with functional analysts.
• Conduct technical analysis, risk identification and performance optimisation.
• Support change‑management processes and contribute to the migration strategy.

Required profile

• Proven experience with legacy application maintenance, especially PowerBuilder.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to identify technical risks.
• Effective communication skills in French and English; basic Dutch is a plus.
• Willingness to work on‑site at least two days per week in Brussels.
