Anthropology Quality Assurance Lead (Remote)

About the role

This remote contract position leads quality assurance for anthropology‑focused AI training projects. You will ensure that all AI‑generated content and trainer work meet rigorous anthropological standards and project guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated anthropology content and trainer/QA outputs for accuracy, cultural sensitivity, methodological rigor, and ethical compliance.
• Provide detailed written feedback and enforce adherence to project‑specific rubrics.
• Identify recurring quality issues, communicate updates to trainers and QA teams, and maintain documentation.
• Support onboarding of new contributors and reactivate inconsistent participants.
• Collaborate with remote expert teams to manage quality workflows and improve overall data quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Anthropology, Cultural Anthropology, Archaeology, Sociology, Area Studies, Museum Studies or a closely related field.
• 3+ years of experience in anthropology research, teaching, ethnography, archaeology, museum/heritage work, or related academic activities.
• Strong command of English for written feedback and communication.
• Deep understanding of anthropological theory, cultural relativism, ethnographic methods, ethics, and representation.

Required skills

• Ability to evaluate content against detailed rubrics and detect cultural stereotyping, ethnocentrism, methodological errors, and ethical issues.
