Android Developer

About the role

As an Android Developer in the CCE‑Individuals/Business department of BNP Paribas Fortis, you will help deliver seamless banking experiences across web and mobile channels. You will work with a cross‑functional team to build, enhance and maintain high‑performance Android applications for both retail and business customers.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into clean, maintainable Java/Kotlin code using Jetpack Compose.
• Design, develop and optimise Android features for performance, reliability and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers and backend teams to ship new functionalities.
• Integrate external data sources and RESTful APIs into the mobile app.
• Write unit tests and conduct test‑driven development to ensure code robustness.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, bugs and performance issues.
• Maintain code quality through automated checks, code reviews and continuous integration pipelines.

Required profile

• Strong ability to understand business needs and convert them into technical specifications.
• Proactive team player who shares knowledge and embraces pair programming.
• Familiarity with Google’s Android design principles, DDD and best‑practice patterns.
• Good command of English; knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
