Android Developer – Hybrid (Leuven, Belgium)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer to join a fast‑growing digital organisation in Leuven. You will work in a collaborative, hybrid setting, building high‑performance native Android applications that connect enterprise systems to thousands of end users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain native Android apps using Kotlin and modern Android practices.
• Build scalable mobile solutions that improve operational efficiency and user experience.
• Contribute to technical architecture decisions, ensuring security, maintainability and long‑term growth.
• Integrate mobile apps with enterprise back‑end APIs and services.
• Utilise Firebase for analytics, crash reporting, monitoring and messaging.
• Own projects through the full software development lifecycle, from requirements to deployment and support.

Required profile

• 6+ years of commercial Android development experience with Kotlin.
• Strong understanding of Android SDK, Coroutines, Flow and Jetpack components.
• Proven experience with MVVM, Clean Architecture and Dependency Injection.
• Hands‑on experience integrating RESTful APIs and managing local data storage.
• Extensive use of Firebase services (Crashlytics, Analytics, Push Notifications).
• Passion for delivering high‑quality user experiences and staying up‑to‑date with mobile trends.
