Air Freight Import Agent

About the role

We are seeking an Air Freight Import Agent to coordinate inbound air shipments for an international logistics player. You will ensure that freight moves smoothly from arrival to delivery while providing top‑class customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate air freight imports and guarantee timely processing.
• Enter accurate data into the operating system and maintain up‑to‑date records.
• Track and trace shipments via airline portals or phone contacts.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers and forward required documents for customs clearance.
• Handle client and vendor billing accurately.
• Communicate with customers, airlines, trucking companies and other partners.
• Follow and update standard operating procedures in the DLSOP.
• Respond promptly to internal and external emails and requests.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in air freight import.
• Proactive attitude with strong organisational skills.
• Very good English and good Dutch language proficiency.
• IATA certification is a plus.
• Positive mindset, problem‑solving ability and sense of humour.
