Agentic AI Engineer – Young Graduate (Software & Platform)

About the role

Accenture Technology is seeking a recent graduate to join its Software & Platform Engineering team as an Agentic AI Engineer. You will help design and deliver LLM‑powered assistants and autonomous workflows that solve real business problems, working from discovery through production.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business needs and translate them into agentic AI use‑cases, defining value, scope and success metrics.
• Design and build agent workflows, including planning, tool‑calling, routing, guardrails and multi‑step task execution.
• Implement LLM application components in Python using modern GenAI frameworks (prompting, structured outputs, function calling, retrieval‑augmented generation).
• Connect agents to enterprise tools and data sources (APIs, databases, knowledge bases, ticketing systems) with secure access and traceability.
• Create test cases for prompts and flows, evaluate outputs, track regressions and define acceptance criteria for accuracy, safety, latency and cost.
• Apply Responsible AI and security‑by‑design principles, supporting privacy, compliance and governance.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers and DevOps to integrate AI into CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Track progress in Jira or Azure DevOps and contribute reusable assets such as prompt libraries and reference architectures.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a strong interest in artificial intelligence and software engineering.
• Analytical mindset able to translate business problems into technical solutions.
• Comfortable working in multidisciplinary, agile teams.
• Focus on quality, safety and measurable value delivery.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Experience with large language model APIs and GenAI frameworks.
• API integration and basic database knowledge.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or Jira for agile tracking.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
