Accreditation Support Officer – Cyber Operations

About the role

The Officer, Accreditation Support works within NATO’s Cyber Operations Section, tracking accreditation backlogs and monitoring unaccredited systems across the NATO Enterprise. The role contributes to the security accreditation of both traditional and cloud‑based cyber‑information systems, providing strategic advice to senior stakeholders on cybersecurity posture and risk acceptance.

Key responsibilities

• Track and report on the accreditation backlog for NATO’s cyber‑information systems.
• Coordinate and prioritise Security Audits (Type 3 and 4) using a risk‑based approach.
• Perform gap analyses and support remediation planning in line with NATO risk‑management frameworks.
• Develop and update policies, directives and guidance related to enterprise security accreditation.
• Provide strategic advisory support to senior decision‑makers on accreditation readiness and risk acceptance.

Required profile

• University degree relevant to the position.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cyber operations, including leading remote teams.
• Proficiency in NATO official languages: Advanced level in English or French and beginner level in the other.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, PRINCE2 or ITIL v4 are advantageous.
