Accounting Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function for our Belgian entities. Based at our headquarters in Antwerp (Merksem), you will combine strong accounting expertise with people leadership and drive process improvements in an international, entrepreneurial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Manage statutory reporting, VAT and corporate tax compliance.
• Coordinate external audits.
• Lead, coach and develop the accounting team.
• Drive standardisation and optimisation of accounting processes.
• Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives within Finance.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the international group.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP, IFRS, VAT and corporate income tax.
• Experience with process improvement and change management initiatives.
• Fluent communication skills in Dutch and English.
