Accounting Assistant Internship (Sept 2026)

About the role

This 6‑month internship (September 2026 – March 2027) supports the Benelux Accounting team at LVMH Perfumes & Cosmetics in Brussels. You will gain hands‑on experience in both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions within a luxury‑goods environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process and record supplier invoices (with and without PO reference).
• Manage the shared mailbox for supplier invoices and reconcile supplier statements.
• Follow up on invoice approvals and maintain supplier master data in accordance with group procedures.
• Forward and archive accounting documents for the Luxembourg entity handled by an external accountant.
• Record bank statements and reconcile customer open items, including payments to unpaid invoices.
• Send reminder emails to customers and reconcile cash‑register and credit‑card payments with boutique sales reports.
• Update follow‑up files, databases, and group reporting documents for audit purposes.
• Assist in audit preparation, including drafting confirmation letters and downloading data from SAP.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and ability to analyse financial information.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management and prioritisation skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Proactive attitude with a genuine desire to learn accounting processes and the luxury industry.
