Accountant – Finance Team

About the role

We are looking for a proactive, detail‑oriented Accountant to strengthen our Finance team and support Octiva’s international growth. Working autonomously and in close collaboration with the Head of Group Finance & Administration, you will ensure the financial health and transparency of the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Post and process journal entries, including sales and purchase invoices, bank statements, expense accounts, and deferred or accrued charges.
• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable, preparing and executing payments.
• Prepare sales invoices and monitor timely collection.
• Compile monthly balance sheets, income statements, yearly statutory accounts and other financial statements in line with legal and company guidelines.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and yearly closing procedures.
• Execute monthly group consolidation, eliminating inter‑company transactions together with the Head of Group Finance & Administration.

Required profile

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Proven experience as an accountant.
• Fluent in Dutch.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles.
• Excellent Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of Odoo is a strong asset.
• Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player.
