Academic Position in Software Engineering and Programming Systems

About the role

UCLouvain is seeking a full‑time academic to teach and conduct research in software engineering, programming systems, paradigms and languages across its Charleroi and Louvain‑la‑Neuve campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Teach bachelor and master courses in software engineering, programming systems and related computer‑science topics, with bachelor courses in French and master courses in English.
• Supervise master’s and PhD theses, lead research programmes, and contribute to departmental service activities such as committee work.

Required profile

• PhD degree with international research experience or extended stay abroad.
• Proven university teaching record, strong publication record, and ability to obtain research funding.

Required skills

• Expertise in software design methods, programming languages and paradigms, software reliability, and large‑scale data management.
• Ability to work in a multilingual environment (French and English) and to integrate research results into teaching.
