Senior Visual Designer – Accessibility Focus

About the role

IBM Consulting is looking for a Senior Visual Designer with a strong focus on accessibility. You will join a global team that helps leading companies on their hybrid‑cloud and AI journeys, creating visual experiences that are inclusive and aligned with the IBM brand.

Key responsibilities

• Design accessible visual experiences that combine user and market insights with IBM’s design language, ensuring proper colour contrast, layout, motion and personalization.
• Interpret research findings and translate them into visual concepts that resonate with diverse audiences, including people with disabilities and neuro‑divergent users.
• Convert complex information into clear, compelling visual forms using colour, tone, composition, imagery, typography, interaction and animation.
• Review and audit designs against IBM Accessibility Requirements, articulating the impact of visual choices and specifying needed accessibility features.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (required).
• Proven experience applying accessible visual design principles.
• Experience interpreting user research to inform design decisions.
• Strong visual design skills covering colour, layout, composition, imagery, typography, interaction and motion.
• Familiarity with accessibility guidelines such as IBM Accessibility Requirements.
• Ability to analyse and review designs for accessibility compliance.
