L1 Support Engineer – Mechelen (Belgium)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated L1 Support Engineer to join our IT team in Mechelen, Belgium. As the first point of contact for end‑users, you will deliver prompt technical assistance, ensuring smooth daily operations and a positive experience.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and log support requests via phone, email and ticketing system.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network issues on laptops, desktops, printers and mobile devices.
• Perform OS installations, Outlook configuration, password resets and account unlocks.
• Escalate complex incidents to higher‑level support while maintaining SLA compliance.
• Travel to multiple shop locations by car to provide on‑site assistance.
• Maintain accurate records of all interactions and follow‑up on open tickets.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of on‑site IT support experience in an enterprise environment.
• Strong customer orientation and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication in Dutch, French and English.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to work shifts and on‑call support.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of SCCM, Microsoft Intune and Jamf Pro.
• Proficiency with Windows 11 and macOS.
• Experience with VPN, Wi‑Fi, IP and DNS configuration.
• Hardware troubleshooting and software installation.
• Understanding of enterprise networking concepts.
