Engineering and R&D Transformation Lead

About the role

As an Engineering and R&D Transformation Lead within Accenture's Supply Chain & Engineering practice, you will own and lead client engagements that help product companies reinvent their engineering and R&D functions. You will work across Consumer Goods, Industrial Equipment, Automotive and Pharma & Life Sciences, acting as a trusted advisor to client leadership and defining their transformation roadmap. The position is based in Brussels.

Key responsibilities

• Own client engagements end-to-end, from diagnosis and solution design to delivery and value realisation
• Serve as a trusted advisor to client engineering and product leadership teams
• Define functional solution designs that leverage PLM and digital engineering capabilities
• Own requirements, process models and user stories across one or more engineering workstreams
• Guide development of digital thread and PLM strategies and roadmaps
• Lead and mentor junior team members, and support proposal development
• Collaborate with Accenture's international Engineering network for Belgian clients

Required profile

• Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
• 5 to 10 years of experience combining R&D or engineering roles with management consulting
• Preferred experience in Consumer Goods, Industrial Equipment, Automotive or Pharma & Life Sciences
• Track record of leading client-facing engagements and managing cross-functional teams
• Fluent English, spoken and written; French and/or Dutch, spoken and written
• Able to travel to client sites; a valid driving licence is strongly recommended

Required skills

• Solid understanding of product engineering processes: BOM management, engineering change, configuration management, lifecycle governance
• Hands-on experience with PLM platforms (Teamcenter, Windchill, ENOVIA, Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE, SAP PLM) is a strong asset
• Nice to have: familiarity with digital twin and digital thread concepts, exposure to AI or GenAI in engineering, and prior experience in global systems integrator consulting
