Associate - Corporate & Finance

About the role

Hogan Lovells' Brussels team, created in 2021, advises on banking and finance transactions such as debt finance, debt capital markets (including EMTNs), structured finance, fund formation and transactions, as well as financial regulatory advice. It also represents international clients on Belgian corporate, finance and commercial law. The firm is looking for an associate with 2 to 6 years of relevant experience.

Required profile

• Masters degree in law in Belgium with excellent results; international experience such as secondments, a LL.M or an additional master's degree is a plus.
• 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in a banking and finance practice group of a reputable Belgian law firm.
• Native French or Dutch speaker, with a good command of the other main national language and excellent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to keep learning and to build relationships with clients, regulators and counterparties.
• Team player who shares knowledge and gives advice to colleagues.

Required skills

• Strong technical capabilities and project management responsibility, ensuring timely delivery to high quality standards.
• Knowledge of banking and finance law.
