Legal Counsel – Commercial & IT Contracts

About the role

NTT DATA is seeking a motivated Legal Counsel to support its activities across Benelux and France. You will provide pragmatic, business‑oriented legal support on a broad range of matters, including commercial contracts, IT and technology agreements, procurement, corporate governance, compliance, data protection, intellectual property and litigation support.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate commercial and IT agreements such as MSAs, SOWs, NDAs and subcontracting contracts.
• Provide legal support for public and private tenders, reviewing RFP documentation and identifying key legal risks.
• Support corporate housekeeping and governance for regional entities, including powers of attorney and signatory matters.
• Assist in managing ongoing or potential disputes, coordinating with external counsel when needed.
• Support compliance processes and reporting requirements, covering gifts & hospitality, conflicts of interest and ethics reporting.
• Offer day‑to‑day legal assistance to business units operating in an international IT and consulting environment.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law from a recognised university; qualified to practise law in Belgium or France.
• 3–5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in an international law firm or in‑house legal department.
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Good understanding of procurement, commercial law, contract law and technology‑related legal matters.
• Ability to assess legal risks and provide clear, business‑oriented advice.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
