Cyber Security Engineer (Tubize)

About the role

Thales Belgium is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to join its Security discipline within the Engineering group. You will work on a wide range of defence and civil products, ensuring they meet Thales cybersecurity standards and relevant regulatory frameworks from early concept through to final delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the focal point for all cybersecurity considerations in bids and projects, supporting architecture, Make/Team/Buy decisions and customer interfaces.
• Perform detailed risk assessments, threat modelling, design, implementation and testing of security features, and produce technical documentation such as high‑level and low‑level designs, configuration documents and test plans.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in IT, Telecommunications or Cybersecurity with at least three years of experience designing, developing or testing security‑oriented products.
• Proven expertise in at least three areas such as risk assessment (EBIOS), security architecture, source‑code review (C/C++, Java, Rust) or Common Criteria processes.

Required skills

• Experience with IP encrypters, firewalls, side‑channel attack mitigation, intrusion detection and Secure Boot.
• Knowledge of threat modelling, security architecture definition, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.
• Linux kernel expertise, embedded Linux deployment, and model‑based system engineering tools (Capella, Polarion, Jira, Git, BitBucket, LaTeX).
