Wind Turbine Electro-Mechanical Engineer – Aeroelasticity

About the role

We are a Belgian engineering consulting firm seeking a full‑time electro‑mechanical engineer specialized in renewable energies to support our Wind & Marine Lab. The role focuses on structural health monitoring, aeroelastic modelling, and performance monitoring of wind turbine assets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and apply methodologies to assess the impact of site‑specific loads and control strategies on turbine lifetime.
• Analyse operational data from SCADA systems and dedicated measurement campaigns.
• Interpret results, prepare reports, and communicate findings to internal teams and external research sponsors.
• Perform on‑site missions, including installation of measurement devices and inspection of turbine components.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in engineering with a strong background in renewable energies.
• Up to 3 years of experience in structural health assessment or data analytics for renewable‑energy assets.
• Highly motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); Dutch or French is a plus.
• Strong self‑motivation, organizational and communication skills.
