About the role

The Office of Tourism Promotion for Wallonia and Brussels is seeking an experienced Webmaster to lead the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of its digital presence. This role combines web design and development expertise to support tourism promotion activities, primarily aimed at international audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and continuously improve multiple tourism websites.
• Define site architecture, oversee technical implementation, and manage external subcontractors.
• Ensure reliable hosting in a data centre in collaboration with the IT department.
• Drive SEO, online campaigns, and performance monitoring (traffic statistics, ranking, reporting).
• Manage CMS and CRM platforms, develop custom modules and applications.
• Create and integrate graphic elements (banners, newsletters) following brand guidelines.
• Coordinate projects within the NTIC department and with external partners.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
• Several years of experience as a SQL developer, Oracle DBA, and with PHP, XML, CSS, HTML, JavaScript.
• Proficiency with graphic tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Image Ready/Fireworks.
• Knowledge of DHTML, CGI, Flash is desirable.
• Strong background in Linux and Apache server administration.
• Experience with online CMS/CRM solutions and a marketing background, preferably in tourism.
• Bilingual French‑English; Dutch is a plus.
• Analytical, autonomous, creative, result‑oriented, and flexible.
