Web Engineer (Go/React)

About the role

Guardsquare is seeking motivated Web Engineers to join its Leuven team. You will work on cloud‑based products, building robust Go back‑ends and, for full‑stack candidates, crafting modern React interfaces that serve a variety of customer use‑cases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable back‑end services using Go.
• Design and implement REST and/or gRPC APIs.
• For full‑stack engineers, build user‑friendly front‑ends with React, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and fellow developers to deliver innovative solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and write unit, integration and end‑to‑end tests.
• Help improve CI/CD pipelines and overall application performance.
• Stay current with web development trends and support customers in using the applications.

Required profile

• Proven experience building web applications.
• Strong back‑end development skills in Go.
• Experience with REST/gRPC API design.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and standard web technologies (HTTP).
• Understanding of cloud security best practices.
