Vibrations Project Engineer – Power Plant Monitoring

About the role

ENGIE Laborelec is seeking a Vibrations Project Engineer to support the monitoring and analysis of turbine‑generator shaft lines in power plants. The position combines data‑driven vibration analysis, client reporting and occasional on‑site measurements, primarily from a hybrid work setting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed vibration analysis reviews of turbo‑generator shaft lines.
• Identify and assess mechanical and vibration issues, providing clear interpretation and corrective recommendations.
• Advise customers on condition‑monitoring strategies and the implementation of new technologies.
• Participate in remote condition‑monitoring service shifts for main shaft lines.
• Take part in an on‑call rotation (one week every eight weeks) to address urgent client requests.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Strong interest in data analysis, reporting and technical problem solving.
• Customer‑oriented communicator who works well both independently and in a team.
• Fluent English; knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
• Preference for operational support and direct client contact over research activities.
