Test Technician

About the role

As a Test Technician you will join Thales Belgium's Customer Support & Service team at the Herstal site, providing technical assistance for weapon systems and ammunition. You will serve both internal and external customers, handling training, investigations, repairs and firing campaigns worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Operate environmental and firing tests on‑site and produce detailed test reports.
• Perform workshop and on‑site repairs, supporting product improvement through user feedback.
• Deliver training courses to customers globally.
• Coordinate stakeholders during international firing campaigns for program and after‑sales services.
• Execute complete service delivery processes, acting as the interface between customers and internal teams (engineering, production, quality, logistics).

Required profile

• Degree in electro‑mechanical or electronics engineering.
• Hands‑on, flexible, pragmatic and customer‑oriented attitude.
• Knowledge of pyrotechnical products or strong willingness to learn.
• Comfortable working in a technical environment and able to work autonomously and rigorously.
• Effective team player capable of operating within matrix organisations.
• Fluent in French and English; German is a plus.
• Willingness to travel frequently worldwide.
