Technical Service Specialist - Automotive Coatings

About the role

Axalta is looking for a Technical Service Specialist (m/f/d) to provide on-site technical expertise and support for its key customer, Volvo, at the Volvo plant in Gent (Belgium). The role sits at the heart of a major automotive manufacturing environment and plays a critical part in ensuring customer satisfaction and process excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert application-related advice and technical support on-site at Volvo Gent
• Process and respond to enquiries about products, systems and processes
• Plan, run and analyse application trials at the customer's site, documenting activities, results and recommendations
• Independently manage, investigate and resolve customer complaints
• Perform root cause analyses and identify optimisation opportunities
• Support the launch of new products, systems and technologies with Marketing, Product Management and Sales
• Lead and contribute to customer-focused technical projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Vocational training as a Paint Laboratory Technician, Paint Technician, Master Painter or equivalent, with relevant professional experience
• Several years of experience in customer manufacturing environments
• Strong knowledge of coating systems and painting processes in automotive plants or related supplier industries
• Very good command of English
