Tax Manager – European Corporate Tax (Belgium/France)

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Manager to lead European corporate tax strategy for a fast‑growing international food group. Based in the West Flanders region of Belgium, you will report directly to the International Tax Director and work closely with finance teams, external advisors, and tax authorities in Belgium and France.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate corporate income tax compliance for Belgium and other European entities, identifying optimisation opportunities.
• Manage VAT processes, including filings, accounting reconciliations, and liaison with tax authorities in Belgium and France.
• Support quarterly and annual tax reporting in line with US GAAP and local regulations.
• Contribute to legal financial reporting, tax disclosures, and international tax reporting to the US.
• Participate in transfer‑pricing documentation and ensure compliance.
• Assist with tax audits and maintain relationships with tax authorities.
• Monitor regulatory developments (OECD, BEPS, Pillar Two) and advise finance teams on tax matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting firm or international company.
• Strong knowledge of corporate income tax and VAT, especially in Belgium and/or France.
• Familiarity with US GAAP (ASC 740) and international tax reporting is a plus.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus.
• Analytical mindset, rigor and initiative.
